Reinforced Dog ACL Knee Brace

I measured my dog carefully, but his mix-breed build made it tough to get the perfect fit. His lower leg was closer to a medium, while his upper leg leaned large, so the knee stabilizer didn’t stay in place and kept sliding down. That said, the brace itself is very well made, snug and comfortable around the waist, and didn’t bother him at all. The materials feel durable, and I can see how it would work perfectly if the sizing matched more evenly. For dogs with proportions that fall right in the chart, this is an excellent support option.

I ordered a customized double knee brace for my 14-year-old overweight dog, who had sadly torn her ACL. Because of her age and weight, surgery wasn’t an option according to every vet I consulted. After doing lots of research, I learned that a custom brace was her best chance for recovery — but most of them were way too expensive for me.

Our dog has ACL issues and surgery just has not been an affordable solution for our high energy dog. He wears this when he goes outside or for walks. Not so much around the house because he does manage to slip his legs loose when lays down. Honestly though when he is in the house he does not need it. He is pretty chill indoors. So it meets his needs for outside. Other braces range from $400-$1000 so this at $100 was affordable for us and does the job. 55-60lb dog and we ordered a medium. We measured and ordered according to what it ask in the directions for sizing. Also we ordered the double sided one even though just one side is injured. A friend recommended this brace and they recommended ordering for both legs so I did. When a dog injures one ACL they are likely to injure the other so to prevent the dog from putting pressure all on good leg I felt like this was good advice.

After a few adjustments, this hip brace helped my dog walk more steadily. Very easy to use. Highly recommend!

The brace gives my dog’s knee some extra support during walks. It fits well and stays in place without rubbing.
